CONNECT WITH US
WHO WE ARE
Grad IV is a multi-ethnic interdenominational community of graduate students at The University of Texas that seeks to grow closer to God by encouraging and challenging each other as we journey together through graduate school and beyond.
Our vision is to be a welcoming and open space of rest and engagement, curiosity and challenge, for graduate students from every corner of our campus to encounter Jesus. We invite you to join us!

"One major thing I needed coming to grad school was community. Aside from my church family, Intervarsity has breathed new life into my graduate school experience! It was really hard for me to understand how I can be 100% God and 100% school/academia, but God kindly reminded me that His plans and ways are far above what I can ask, think or imagine. More than just getting a degree, I know God is moving in the lives of students at UT."

WHAT WE DO
On Monday nights we gather as a community and enjoy a time of learning, fellowship, and bible study. Our bible study, called Convergence begins at 7pm each Monday and ends at 8:30. This is a great time to connect with academic peers and join in conversation about faith, theology, and our personal lives.
We also build community through study groups, shared meals, guest talks, book clubs, worship nights, and fun hangouts throughout the semester. Whether you are a person of no-faith, new faith, or deep faith, we would love for to join us in whatever connects best with you.

OUR COMMITMENTS
SPIRITUAL FORMATION
We desire to be conformed to the image of Christ. To achieve this, we cultivate habits that deepen our spiritual lives such as regular prayer, Bible study, and other foundational disciplines.
COMMUNITY
We choose to gather regularly as a community of faculty and graduate students to learn and worship, to challenge and care for each other, and to serve as a welcoming place for both believers and seekers.
FAITH, LEARNING, AND PRACTICE
Because the God whom we worship is Creator of all, we seek a unity of truth and practice in the university and all institutions and believe that the integrity of this pursuit will be a witness to the university and professional world.
EVANGELISM AND SERVICE
As a community, we demonstrate and proclaim the gospel to the university so that Jesus Christ is esteemed over all. Believing that God is at work to initiate people into His kingdom, we pray and work with expectation for their conversion. We also seek to authenticate this witness in our service, especially to the poor and the oppressed.
